Back to the beginning of our Genesis 1 restoration series.

We have seen how God restored the earth as described in the first chapter of Genesis. We see through biblical accounts that sin came into the world and men rebelled just like the angels that came before them (2 Peter 2:4). The earth and its inhabitants were once again corrupted and full of darkness.

About 2000 years ago, when Christ came into the world, the spiritual state of the world was identical to what it was in Genesis 1:2. The earth was ripe for another spring-cleaning, another renovation, an eternal restoration, and this is what it got, the ministry of Christ. Remember the Son does only that which He sees the Father do. He does nothing of Himself. The father renovated in Genesis 1-2, now the Son renovates in the four Gospels.

Below is a table of similarities between the creation story and the ministry of Christ in the New Testament.
