Summary
Like many people, I have found myself at times in the middle of a contentious debate on scriptures. Several times we agree to disagree and are left hanging on opposite sides of the issue. This becomes amplified when the discussion involves an atheist or someone who does not believe in scriptures. More and more, I find myself longing for that supernatural power that draws the heathen’s attention to acknowledge the Most High. I believe that power is still available to establish the Most High’s Kingdom here on earth today. To release it, I believe we need to understand the rule of duplicates, and how to bridge that gap between heaven and earth.
Thy will be done on earth
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. – John 5:9
Messiah gives us an insight into a law that the Most High established from the foundations of the earth. He made all things and they were very good, they cannot be improved upon. The heavens and the earth are already perfected; we cannot create anything new to improve it. We can only copy from one realm to the other.
In John 5:9, We understand that the Messiah is not improvising but rather he is duplicating the things he sees the Father do. Since the Father is in heaven, it follows that He was duplicating on earth the things he saw in heaven. I look at this as the rule of duplicates. The law of duplicates sounds fancier, but I don’t wish readers to misinterprete it as a written law.
Does that ring a bell? Yes, it is in the Lord’s Prayer. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are admonished to follow the leading of the Spirit of The Most High. He alone knows the mind and will of the Father so we should walk with Him to fulfill His will. At times, He will ask us to do things that do not really make sense to us. Doing them will however usher us into the realm of the supernatural. By obeying, we force the laws in our natural world to be subject to the laws of the supernatural. Of course, He will not tell us to do things that are contrary to his word.
Rule of duplicates
When The Most High wanted to make man, He said let us make man in our image. Most Bible scholars would agree that He was mainly referring to man being a union of three; body, soul and spirit. Like his maker, man has arms and feet, and can see and talk.
The Almighty made a firmament to divide heaven and the earth; there are waters in heaven and waters on earth (Genesis 1). There is a throne in heaven where the Most High sits. Likewise, there are thrones in England, Spain, Sweden, and thousands located all over Africa.
Moses received a vision of the heavenly temple and ordered to physically duplicate it on earth. He was subsequently given skilled laborers to build this tabernacle in the desert.
The Ark of the Covenant carried Gods law etched in stone and His Glory covered the mercy seat. We carry His word engrafted on our heart and the Holy Ghost lives in and abides on us.
Everything is a duplicate copied from the spiritual realm
Many times when I read the stories of the prophets, I am astounded to see this law in operation. The minister often sees a miracle or a blessing first in the spirit before he strives to bring it into physical manifestation. In John 5:9 that we read earlier, the Messiah only spoke that which he heard. We can see more of this duplicates when we compare the Old Testament with the New in my post old versus new restoration. It’s a spiritual truth we must understand if we are to truly live by the will of the Most High. We need to see the wave of revelations He constantly ushers in our direction to live in His victory.
We read in the Bible that we all with unveiled faces behold His glory and are changed into His likeness (2 Corinthians 3:18). When we look into His word, we hear his voice and see His glory. Since we not only hear but also act, we become transformed. He shows us secret things in His presence, it is then our responsibility to go out and establish it in our lives.
A mirror stands between two images
Every mirror reveals two images, a real one and its reflection. A beautiful thing about the law is that it can flow both ways. By this, I mean that we can duplicate heavenly things here on earth. But we can also duplicate earthly things in heaven Let me explain how before anyone labels me a heretic. In the example of prayer, we pray forgive us our trespasses AS we forgive those that trespass against us. First we forgive those who offend us here, and then our Father in heaven will forgive us. Forgiveness here on earth, is followed by forgiveness in heaven.
If this does not convince you, consider this passage in Matthew 16:19
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Establishing earth in heaven?
This passage indicates that there may be some things that are not yet spiritually confirmed which we could change.
An example is when Hezekiah the king is told to put his house in order because he was going to die. Hezekiah turned to the Most High in prayer and he got a fifteen-year extension on his life (Isaiah 38:1-5).
Another example is the people of Nineveh who repented after hearing God’s message through Jonah and they were spared (Jonah 3:10).
Lastly I will mention the example of Adam in the garden where he named the beasts of the field and that name became the name by which the animals were known in heaven and on earth. The Most High did not invent the word lion, man did.
The Most High has given us the authority and the anointing to establish some things here on earth. He has said that whatsoever we agree on in prayer shall be duplicated/confirmed in heaven, so it will be established for us (Matthew 18:19). We should however note that this refers to prayers in line with His will. How do I know? The passage we looked at earlier in Matthew 16 regarding binding and loosening came after a revelation of the Messiah as the foundation on which the congregation is built. So our prayers of agreement should still be based on the will and revelation of the Messiah.
The Israelites sought not revenge on the Egyptians
The Israelites were enslaved in Egypt for centuries. At the end, they left with great substance, but they did not aim to destroy the Egyptians. It was the Egyptians that pursued Israel into the Red Sea, not the other way round. Yet the Most High remembered Egypt when He gave the law to Israel.
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land. – Deuteronomy 23:7
This is a great lesson for all the Israelites currently in their land of captivity. It is not for you to seek revenge or to hate your oppressor. In Job 31:29, the scriptures listed hatred of our enemies and joy at their destruction as iniquity. So why are Israelites standing on street corners raving against the white man? That will not bring the Kingdom of heaven to earth. It will only lead to the classification of Hebrew Israelites as a terror organization.
Israel was a stranger in Egypt then, Israel is a stranger in the Americas now. It is not our place to hate no matter the circumstance. Our prayers should be Psalm 94:1, O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. If we love our friends and hate our enemies, how are we different from the heathen (Matthew 5:43-46)?
Our duty is to call all men to repentance, eschew evil and to return to the Most High.
Benefit of understanding this rule
We acknowledge our ability to sometimes see things in the spirit before they become physical; here is the shocker, so does the devil. When the Most High gives us a blessing, first they are revealed spiritually; we see it and rejoice, the devil also sees it and goes to work. He will throw everything he can at us to make sure that spiritual promise does not get copied into the physical realm. This ability to see and the tenacious resistance of the devil to our given promises is very well described in J.P. Timmons book titled mysterious secrets of the dark kingdom.
When we understand this rule of duplicates, we begin to appreciate and accurately anticipate the events that occur in our lives.
I noticed that whenever the Most High reveals that something good was about to happen in my life, very often some tough things come at me first and fast. On one of these occasions, just as I was about to enter into a major victory that the Most High had promised me, I had two potentially fatal road accidents and had a loaded gun pointed in my face by armed bandits on another occasion. Remarkably, all three incidents occurred over a three-week period and I got away with barely a scratch. Fortunately at the time I already understood how things worked so it was more amusing than alarming.
The devil alters the reflection in the mirror
The devil is smart enough to know that he cannot win by trying to stop all the moves of the Almighty in our lives, so he also adopts the law of duplicates. He tries to destroy the Most High’s work by producing corrupted duplicates. We read of the three record bearers in heaven (1 John 5:7), so he unveils a plethora of pagan religions with trinity gods. He tries to create his own earthly trinity namely the beast, his image and the mark of his name (Revelation 14:11). As the Most High seals his elect with his Spirit (Ephesians 1:13), the devil seals his with the mark of his name. He even goes further to perform miracles as described in revelations 14.
The Most High moves in spiritual and supernatural ways so the devil tries spiritual tricks that we commonly describe as occultism and magic. Everything you can think about regarding the Most High’s dealing with man probably has a corrupt duplicate placed out there by the devil.
The church provides a very streaky reflection
The aim of all these is to make the path to God so cloudy and murky that He is impossible to find. It gives us a front row view to a corrupted or marred version of the scriptures. The ultimate goal is that when we look into the law of the Almighty, we often do not really see the Most High. Instead, we see self glorification, a pastor and a lot of rules that have no basis in scripture.
The Messiah said that if ye love me, ye would keep my commandments (John 14:15). But the church teaches that the law will kill ya. The Bible says that the way to abide in the Father’s love is to keep his commandments (John 15:10), but the church teaches that as long as we believe, the commandments are not important.
According to the early apostles, we cannot continue in sin that grace may abound (Romans 6:1). Yet many preachers say that once saved is always saved despite the Bible’s admonition to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Interestingly, this last passage indicates that it is through obedience that we can work out our salvation.
Many Christians teach that obedience is essential for salvation. Unfortunately, the majority claim that it is obedience to the church and its doctrine that is paramount. Ignorance to the laws of the covenant is widespread.
The sonship deception
I have heard so many times that the Old Testament prophets were servants, but under the New Testament, we are sons (which we are). For that reason, we are told that all that matters is the relationship, we do not need to keep the law. However, we are forced to keep the laws against murder, theft, and adultery (I have no problem with this). We are encouraged to skip the dietary laws because the Most High told Peter to kill and eat (Acts 10:13-17). This I have a problem with. We conveniently forget that the dream was referring to unclean gentiles, not food. If it was regarding food, Peter would not have been confused about the dreams meaning. It would have been obvious since it mentioned beasts. He understood that the law had not changed so the dream could not be referring to unclean meats.
Peter was never given permission to eat unclean meats
For those who may say that unclean beasts in Peter’s dream meant literally unclean meats in reality, then consider pharaohs dreams. Did seven kines and ears mean seven cattle and seven ears of corn? No, they both meant seven years (Genesis 41:26). Then perhaps that is why when Peter woke up, he did not translate his dream to literally mean a permission to eat unclean beasts but a command to do the Father’s will among previously unaccepted people (John 4:34 and Acts 10:19-48).
Today, if you follow the moral laws in the covenant, you become a kill-joy and a pariah. You dare not speak against homosexuality or the prevalent paganism in society. Doing so could bring an end to your career and/or social life. There is now a movement to criminalize a central practice of the Hebrew covenant; male circumcision.
I have heard people talking about the sabbath rest to compel you to attend church service. Some do not even realize that the sabbath isn’t Sunday. Yet the same people will tell you that you are under grace, so it is okay to break the law. To them, walking in obedience to the law means that you are ignorant about the working of grace in a believer. However, I am yet to find the New Testament passage that tells me which laws to break. Instead, I see passages that say that not one jot or tittle shall pass away from the law (Matthew 5:18).
A rebellious son will lose his place
The church often teaches that the believer is a son by grace only, not by law. This is therefore used as an excuse to break as many laws as possible. Across Europe, pork is used to celebrate the assumed birth date of the Messiah even though the Bible states that the pig is unclean and not for food.
Many people eat blood either frank or as puddings though we know the life of every creature is in the blood and commanded not to eat it even in the New Testament (Leviticus 7:26-27 and Acts 15:20, 29). The admonition of not eating things strangled during idol worship ceremonies (Acts 15:20) comes from the Old Testament law in Leviticus. So apparently the apostles still encouraged law keeping.
A law breaking believer is like a son who claims that he can disobey whenever he wants and still retain his father’s favor. He is like a prodigal son who wants to live both riotously and in his father’s house. That just won’t work, he will get tossed out. In fact, that is the crime of Israel for which they were enslaved and exiled.
So, after punishing Israel over many centuries for breaking his law, the Most High would suddenly say that it all doesn’t matter? Has the Most High changed, or repented?
He is not a man to change, so it’s either we are confused or deceived. His law has not changed, He has only given us the grace to fulfill that law.
The law is not a kill-joy, or about him restricting us, the law is the revelation of His will.
Dirty mirrors do not reveal His glory
Perhaps like me, you have repeatedly asked the question that Gideon asked? Where be all His miracles that we’ve heard about?
And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where [be] all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.- Judges 6:13
Where are the miracles? where are the victories? Why do the blind not see or the deaf hear? We see televangelists proclaim healing, and then later hear the people could not keep it because they did not believe. And then we hear of healing frauds. Where is the Most High? Why does He seem to be so far away?
Enough of the showmanship
I have seen so many gimmicks, ministers pressing hard on peoples foreheads to make them fall ‘under the anointing’ on church prayer lines. People yelled at, slapped or even beaten on deliverance lines until they scream and then claim it was the tormented devil screaming.
Where is the real power? Does not the Bible state that the Kingdom of the Most High is not in words, but in power (1 Corinthians 2:4 and 4:20).
I strongly believe that it is our lack of obedience and all our pagan worship that robs us of the divine power. If we return to obedience, the Most High will lift us to new heights and bless us in the land. We can be strong again and do exploits (Daniel 11:32). I do not know about you, but I am just tired, tired of all the empty talk, all the banter and contentious debates. Is there anyone besides me who longs to see the power of the Most High, to experience real physics-defying miracles? Who else is tired of hearing people elaborately testify about getting out of bed in the morning, the wicked also get up and they don’t even know the Most High.
I want something extra
Please do not get me wrong, I am grateful for life, health and the many blessings that we have. I just want something more, something extra. I want more of the Most High, more of His presence, His word, His power. If that makes me greedy, then, I am what I am. But I suspect that I am not alone, some of you out there want the same things.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. – Romans 8:19-23
I feel that groaning within me, that yearning for a release of the supernatural. I hope you feel it too.
May the Most High bless you as you seek His will.
