God the Biologist; The Genesis of Science

Religion is a topic that has fascinated millions around the word for generations. In every religion, we worship God either as a deity or as a concept. Most of us find God to be a person that we cannot really know or understand. So, most worshipers are content to focus on vague attributes of God that we cannot even begin to understand. We extol His might, holiness and love, but have no clue what he likes to do when He is not busy hugging our worship and adoration. As part of our study on Genesis 2, I will like to state that God is a biologist, and a good one at that.

He planted a garden

And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. – Genesis 2:8

The Almighty God created the earth (His temple) and then renovated a special place in its center for a very special purpose. On the 3rd day of the restoration in Genesis 1:11-12, we see how God caused the earth to bring forth plants at the command of His voice. At Eden however, we see that he planted a garden. The springing up of the plants on day 2 was good (Genesis 1:12). The garden on the other hand had to be impeccable; a masterpiece from the perfect biologist.

When I read this passage in Genesis 2, I think of a man who bought a plot of land and gave instructions for the builders to erect a magnificent house for his family. He didn’t have to use a hammer and nail himself, but commanded the builders to do the construction job. It was beautiful, it was good, but one thing was still missing.

He therefore rolled up his sleeves, got out his garden tools and planted a garden fit for a king. He crouched on his knees, dug the ground and assessed every plant that went into it. This was not just his family garden, it was his pet project, a place where he could sit still and relax. Here he could forget the outside world for a time, enjoy the sweet fragrance of the flowers and snack on the ripe juicy fruits from the trees. This was so personal that he didn’t contract a landscaper; he worked the ground himself. Every plant had to be in the right spot, every tree in the perfect place, a job only a perfect biologist could do.

He appointed a Gardener

The story narrated above is not a figment of my imagination. It is a description of what God did in the very first two chapters of the Bible. He restored the earth by his command, decorated it with stars, the moon, plants and animals by his Word. But the Garden of Eden, that was special and He created Adam the gardener to overseer of God’s garden and its many residents.

And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. – Genesis 2:15

This is his sole purpose of existence. The animals and birds were to be his companions. That is why God caused the animals to pass before Adam who examined and named them all (Genesis 2:18-20).

He made the first clone

In the last decade or so, there has been a lot of excitement among molecular biologists and geneticist on the subject of cloning. Cloning is a process in which genetic material (DNA) from one organism is used to produce an exact copy of that organism. Since we now know what part of the DNA produces which features, we can alter that part before using it to clone the ‘duplicate’. This is a technique that is widely used today resulting in the genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The primary target has been food produce to shore up their resistance to pests and harsh climate. It is however also used in animals and fish farming to speed up their growth and mass thus increasing abundance.

Dolly the Sheep

There was a huge controversy at the revelation of Dolly; the first cloned sheep in 1997. It was marketed as man’s greatest biological achievement, but it raised numerous ethical issues. I do not think that Dolly was the first mammalian clone ever. There are biblical accounts that indicate the technique had been perfected by the ancient world.

The first ever clone was the woman, created from the rib of Adam. The need for a cloned Adam arose because there was a garden to keep and lots of animals and birds to oversee. God therefore anesthetized Adam and took DNA from his ribs from which he cloned the woman.

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. .. the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. – Genesis 2:21-23

We are all clones

I know I may likely run the ire of liberals and the feminist movement for making a statement that the woman was a clone of the man. In my defense, I did not write the Bible, so be sure to direct your rage at the author of the scriptures. Besides, the whole process of reproduction is cloning. The female egg cell (ovum) after fertilization by a male reproductive cell (sperm) produces an offspring. The child born has a combination of the looks of the male and female parents. That makes us all clones made by God the biologist.

I do admit that the Bible didn’t call the process cloning. However, cloning is a relatively new terminology. It wasn’t in use until the early 20th century when it was coined by the British born scientist John B.S. Haldane.

Flesh of My Flesh

We often quote the 23rd verse of Genesis 2 when talking about marriage in the Church. We refer to it in spiritual terms implying that God is joining a man and a woman making them one unit.

In my opinion however, Adam meant this statement in a literally physical sense. It was DNA extracted from his rib that became the woman. She was his flesh and his bone in every sense of the word. A feat accomplished by God the biologist.

Why a woman is different to a man

Perhaps this is a question you have wondered about. Logic would suggest that a clone looks exactly like the original. Perhaps just replacing the male Y chromosome with a second X chromosome was enough to effect the feminine changes. Genesis 2:24 hint at why the man and the woman needed to be physically different; because they had different social and physiologic functions. The man would be father and husband while the woman would be mother and wife. Additionally, endocrinology teaches that a higher testosterone or estrogen level is responsible for the male and female secondary sexual characteristics respectively. This makes it easier today for those who choose to transit from one gender to the other. Hormone therapy is an intrinsic part of that transition.

The Nephilim became biologists

According to the book of Enoch, the offspring of the fallen angels did extensive hybridization experiments. They crossbred different plants and animal species. They did this through physical mating and through genetic engineering. We see the evidence in the hieroglyphs from Egypt to Sumeria and Babylon. These stone engraved records reveal pictures of snakes with human legs, humans with reptilian heads, and lion men among others. 2 Samuel 23:20 mentions two lion like men of Moab perhaps as a reference to these half lion half men creatures. They were products of nephilim biology.

The King James Bible however doesn’t say a lot about the works of the fallen angels. We see in Genesis 6:2-5 that they married and had children who were giants and famous on earth. They brought along with them all manner of evil intentions and work into the world. Under their influence, every thought in the hearts of men was pure evil and an abomination unto God.

The Nephilim wanted to play god

Why did the nephilim begin experimenting and cloning all these creatures? The most obvious reason is that they were trying to corrupt the seed of the woman (Genesis 3). Another reason is that like Lucifer, they were playing god (see Isaiah 14:12-14).

The watchmen knew that God was a biologist (among other things), so they tried to be like him. They however could not create a new thing from scratch because they lacked the power to do so. They therefore made things instead by altering what God had created.

Watchmen today

I have no doubt in my mind, that the nephilim have found a genetic solution/limitation to the gigantism issue. One thing is still certain, the alteration of God’s creation is still racing ahead at full throttle. We no longer call it  corruption, but transhumanism. It is a quest for immortality; that man may become god. We now talk about our consciousness being transferred into a robotic/android body so we can explore distant stars. We see it as a noble cause, a desire for knowledge (tree of knowledge anyone?) that we may reach beyond the stars. That is eerily similar to the Luciferian agenda in the 14th chapter of Isaiah. Could that passage be a prophecy about our times? In our attempt to be progressive, have we become manipulated by the by Luciferian rebellion under the guise of transhumanism?

Like the tower of Babel in Genesis 11, our modern day biology is aimed at ascending to heaven and achieving immortality even in our sinful condition. Is our science merely a shaking of our fists at the Most High? Are we just shouting at Him how we have no need of Him? Like Lucifer, are we threatening the Almighty, telling Him —we are coming to get you?

Today’s biologist

Perhaps some of us are biologists, maybe it is time to assess what we are studying and why? Uploading human consciousness into robotics is very identical to the image in Daniel 2:32-34. It is like a mixture of iron with clay. We can possible succeed for a while, but like Babel, we will only end up shattered and scattered into pieces.

Without a doubt, most biologists are in the profession to improve our environment and living conditions. They get their creativity and insight into nature from the perfect biologist. But they should be aware that there will always be other people who will turn their every invention against humanity. These latter people will seek to turn every virus into a biological weapon and build super soldiers. They manipulate man through biology thus bypassing his free will. These are the people with sinister intentions, who play creator, and try to be the god the biologist.
